American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center requiring 2 years of recent acute care experience and an active IL RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory float facility; all clinicians may be required to float to any unit or facility within 50 miles, sometimes with only 2 hours notice
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner charting system used

• Active IL RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
• Proof of COVID vaccination required (booster not required)

• Team-based model used when floated outside primary area of competency
• RTO limited to 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive days off
• No RTO approved on weekends, holidays, or the day before/after a holiday
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Local candidates accepted and preferred within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer
