Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Dori Tails LLC provides professional pet care services including pet sitting visits, overnight pet sitting, and dog walking. We serve a variety of pets, such as dogs, cats, and other animals, within the neighborhoods of Rogers Park and West Ridge in Northeast Chicago, as well as the City of Evanston. Our services are available across multiple zip codes including 60201, 60202, 60204, 60208, 60209, 60626, 60645, and 60659.

This is a part time role as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter 1, located in Chicago, IL. The responsibilities include providing attentive care to pets during sitting visits, ensuring their exercise and well-being through daily walks, and offering individualized pet care solutions. The role also involves observing and addressing dog behavior, feeding pets, maintaining a clean environment, and communicating with pet owners about their pet's needs and updates.

• Must pass a criminal background check
• Age 18+ and have U.S. work authorization.
• Must have a car and live within 20 minutes of our service area by vehicle.
• Knowledge of Animal Care, including feeding and basic pet health monitoring.
• Familiarity with Dog Behavior and Dog Walking techniques to ensure pet safety and positive interactions.
• Strong Communication skills for effectively interacting with pet owners to provide updates and receive instructions.
• Ability to handle pets of various species and sizes with confidence and care.
• Can work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s (don’t worry – you’ll be able to have a holiday too, and you’ll be paid more per visit during this time).
• Have a smartphone (iPhone or Android) with a working camera and an “unlimited” data plan.
• Can work in all weather conditions and walk several hours per day.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs and you are capable of moderate-intensity outdoor activity, including walking 1-4 miles and up/down stairs, in all weather conditions.
