Groomers deliver outstanding customer service to pet owners by executing style requests, communicating clearly and honestly, and bringing a positive attitude . The role of a Groomer is to provide exemplary cosmetic care for pets, being gentle and patient with anxious and difficult animals . Protect the best interests of our customers and their pets, notifying owners of any concerns, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas .
Essentialfunctions and responsibilities
- Bathing and clea n ing pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning .
- Grooming pups through various techniques such as s hav ing , trimming , and styl ing pet hair according to the owner’s preferences .
- Maintain ing overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears .
- Maintain ing a clean workstation ; routinely cleaning, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing work area and equipment as needed and at the end of each shift.
- Communicating with owners; informing them of grooming experience, providing recommendations for future grooming sessions, and advising owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets .
- Adhering to all pet and human safety protocols at all times.
- Professionally and positively representing PUPS by conducting yourself in a manner that is in the best interest of PUPS Pet Club, PUPS Members, and Club Team Members.

Qualifications- Ability to comfortably handle and groom dogs of varying sizes, weights, breeds, and temperaments.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Education or certificate from grooming training program or academy preferred.
- Strong proficiency in various dog grooming techniques and styling ; prior grooming experience required .
- Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours without a break.
- Kneel, bend, squat, and twist their body .
- Repetitive ly complete hand and arm movement s ; reach, grab, pull, and push objects.
- Perform duties in an environment with loud sounds from animals and smells from pet waste and cleaning chemicals.
- Lift up to 50lbs with or without assistance .
- Pay range is $17.05/hr, commission and tips
- PTO & Sick Time (team members can accrue up to 40 hours of Sick Time per year)
