Responsibilities
- Calibrate and verify measuring and test equipment in accordance with ISO quality standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T symbols to validate part conformity.
- Generate detailed inspection reports for incoming, in-process, and final parts, documenting measurements and deviations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform dimensional inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, calipers, and height gauges.
- Conduct NDT Level 2 MT, UT, and PT testing in the lab, ensuring parts are correct after manufacturing and upon arrival.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Skilled in using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Experience with documentation review and control.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, control, and inspection processes.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches.
- Proficient in heavy documentation tasks.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
