Quality Technician

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and verify measuring and test equipment in accordance with ISO quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T symbols to validate part conformity.
• Generate detailed inspection reports for incoming, in-process, and final parts, documenting measurements and deviations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, calipers, and height gauges.
• Conduct NDT Level 2 MT, UT, and PT testing in the lab, ensuring parts are correct after manufacturing and upon arrival.

• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Skilled in using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Experience with documentation review and control.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, control, and inspection processes.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches.
• Proficient in heavy documentation tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
