** THE WORK*
* The Supplier Quality Field Engineer is a virtual position that
** REQUIRES FREQUENT travel to regional supplier locations around the Midwest, including but not limited to Texas, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois  Candidate's residence must be located within 60 miles of an airport in one of those four states  May be assigned regionally but must be ready, willing, and able to support wherever needed   Regions include:  Northeast/Mid Atlantic, Central/Mid West, Pacific/North West, South East/South West  May occasionally require travel to other US and international regions *
* - Collaborates with internal quality, engineering and manufacturing functions and suppliers to ensure quality standards and product requirements are met

- Ensures supplier contract requirements are implemented and verified

- Monitors quality control activities and systems at supplier facilities and maintains feedback loops

- Performs surveillance ensuring supplier's conformance to company and program requirements

- Performs source inspections  both in process and final , first articles, manufacturing process validations, source surveillance and special process audits, as applicable

- Provides internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions related to supplier discrepancies

- Supports supplier failure investigations as required  Ensures control of supplier nonconforming items, conduct analyses and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions at the supplier

** A level 2 employee is typically junior career and has 1  years of professional experience *

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* 1yr  experience conducting quality audits for quality management systems and special processes

 Excellent Communication Skills and ability to work independently

 Familiarity Quality Assurance principles, including AS9100 and/or root cause analysis techniques

 Must be able to travel to regional supplier locations

Ability to perform surveys/audits at supplier locations

Skills:

* Experience with Nadcap processes

Experience with FAA Repair Stations

 AS9100 Audit certification preferred
