Chicago (Local Candidates Only) Hybrid / Onsite as Needed (2-3 days per week) 12-Month Contract Up to $28/hour
We're seeking an IT Quality/Test Engineer I to support a data-focused testing team responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise data pipelines and platform operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and execute tests for data pipelines and workflows
- Identify defects, validate fixes, and support issue resolution
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend process improvements
- Monitor data quality and operational performance
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Stewards to improve overall platform quality
Required Skills
1-2 years of software testing and/or software development experience SQL (Snowflake preferred) Java / Spring Boot AWS or other cloud platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a quality-first mindset Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
