Pennoni is seeking full‑time and part‑time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for fabrication shops in the Chicago, IL area and surrounding regions including Vincennes, Indiana;
Gary, IN;
Louisville, KY;
St. Louis, MO.

• Inspect welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials.
• Monitor work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Communicate and meet with fabricators, clients, and engineers.
• Produce daily written shop reports.

• Minimum education:
  
  High School.
• Minimum years of experience: 3.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with others.
• Reliable transportation.

• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
• Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT, RT).
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 experience.
• Coating inspection experience.
• AMPP/NACE/SSPC certification.
