Overview
Assist Staffing is hiring Quality Inspectors for a leading manufacturing company in the medical products industry. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an initial assignment in West Chicago, IL, before relocating to the Northbrook, IL facility within approximately two months.
Location and Schedule- Start:
West Chicago, IL - Relocate after approximately 2 months to Northbrook, IL
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Pay Rate: 20.00–22.00/hour (based on experience)
- 3rd Shift: Additional 10% shift differential
- Start Date:
ASAP
- Under direct supervision, inspect components, subassemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections using drawings, work instructions, and established procedures.
- Read production orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Use calibrated measuring equipment, gauges, and inspection tools.
- Record inspection results accurately in the ERP system or approved inspection documentation.
- Verify product conformance and identify nonconforming materials.
- Work with Quality leadership to resolve quality issues and material dispositions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; ensure inspection equipment is functioning properly.
- Communicate effectively with production and quality team members; support overall quality and production objectives through teamwork.

- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings

- Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to commute to West Chicago initially and Northbrook after relocation
- Spanish/English bilingual skills are preferred but not required
