Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Assurance and Food Safety program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Implement and oversee Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans to identify, control, and prevent potential food safety hazards.
- Lead and manage the sanitation team to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety measures, quality control, and sanitation procedures.
- Investigate any quality or food safety incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality assurance.
- Provide regular reports to management on the status of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation in the food manufacturing industry.
- Expert knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Certification in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of food safety and quality assurance.
