QIS is a trusted partner of public housing authorities, providing HQS inspection services across the United States.

We are looking for a part‑time Inspector who will conduct HQS inspections on a flexible schedule, ensuring compliance with HUD’s Housing Quality Standards.

• Pull schedule and inspection information for upcoming work shift.
• Conduct inspections of HUD and Section 8 properties.
• Collect and transmit data using a hand‑held tablet.
• Travel safely between inspections.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Moderate to excellent computer ability.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of public housing agency operations and regulations (plus).
• Proficiency with modern equipment including cell phones, tablets, scanners, printers, and GPS.
• Ability to present ideas clearly, orally and in writing.
• Effective communication with a broad range of people.
• Ability to work productively in varied conditions and environments.
• Completion of QIS HQS training program and passing the final certification exam.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of inspector training classes or lead‑based paint visual assessment course (plus).

Walk 3–5 miles per day, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and carry a 2‑lb tablet.

All positions are production‑based, so expect to discuss a schedule that fits your life and work balance.

Based on average production, you can earn approximately $20‑$25 per hour.

Dental and vision insurance is available for all inspector levels. Full‑time inspectors are eligible for paid vacation, employee health insurance, and nine paid holidays.
