Quality Technician – Direct Hire

Kelly Services is currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician for a direct hire position with our client in Bedford Park, IL. This is a permanent opportunity offering competitive pay, exceptional benefits, and advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing company.
Salary & SchedulePay: $24 – $27 per hour
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Perform die and part inspections using a Romer Arm (or similar CMM/portable arm system)
- Promptly notify supervisors of any non-conformances identified during inspections
- Manually verify part/ die inspections using basic hand tools as needed
- Use forklift to transport materials as necessary
- Create and prove out Romer Arm programs using Polyworks Software (Keyence programming to be implemented in future)
- Perform dimensional studies, layouts, and capability studies; summarize results
- Update Romer and InfinityQS programs when Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) are released
- Maintain accurate records and follow established forms and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Romer Operator or with a similar CMM/portable arm system
- Strong background in performing dimensional studies/layouts and capability studies
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
- Experience with program updates resulting from engineering changes (ECNs)
- Familiarity with InfinityQS or similar SPC software
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in use of hand measuring tools: calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, feeler gauges, radius gauges, etc.
- Knowledge of general tolerances, blueprint reading, and calibration requirements
