QA ASSOCIATE

Reports to:

Quality Assurance Manager

As a QA Associate, you’ll be the front line of food safety and quality assurance on our production floor. You’ll ensure products meet all specifications, support HACCP and GMP compliance, and be a critical part of delivering products our customers trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all stages of production to ensure quality standards are met
  • Verify proper scaling of raw materials and mixing processes
  • Check baking and cooling stages for specification compliance
  • Inspect final product for weight, color, and appearance
  • Confirm packaging, labeling, and date coding accuracy
  • Conduct organoleptic evaluations (taste, odor, eye appeal)
  • Support line operators in making adjustments for quality improvement
  • Monitor and verify metal detectors and in-line scales
  • Assist with label printing and raw material management
  • Train production staff on SOPs, GMPs, and Food Safety procedures
  • Help develop and maintain HACCP plans and food safety systems
  • Perform regular GMP inspections and maintain product samples
  • Document findings and report issues to the QA Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing QA or Food Safety is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
