QA ASSOCIATE
Reports to:
Quality Assurance Manager
As a QA Associate, you’ll be the front line of food safety and quality assurance on our production floor. You’ll ensure products meet all specifications, support HACCP and GMP compliance, and be a critical part of delivering products our customers trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor all stages of production to ensure quality standards are met
- Verify proper scaling of raw materials and mixing processes
- Check baking and cooling stages for specification compliance
- Inspect final product for weight, color, and appearance
- Confirm packaging, labeling, and date coding accuracy
- Conduct organoleptic evaluations (taste, odor, eye appeal)
- Support line operators in making adjustments for quality improvement
- Monitor and verify metal detectors and in-line scales
- Assist with label printing and raw material management
- Train production staff on SOPs, GMPs, and Food Safety procedures
- Help develop and maintain HACCP plans and food safety systems
- Perform regular GMP inspections and maintain product samples
- Document findings and report issues to the QA Manager
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in food manufacturing QA or Food Safety is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
