ABOUT CLEAR INVESTMENT GROUP

Clear Investment Group is a boutique real estate investment firm in Chicago specializing in rehabilitating and stabilizing distressed multi-family assets. We are based in Chicago, with portfolios across the Midwest, South, and Northeast. With a focus on acquiring distressed properties, we aim to improve communities by investing in local real estate.

THE ROLE

The National Property Manager is CIG's go-anywhere operator — an experienced property manager deployed wherever the portfolio needs one most. This role travels to properties across our national footprint to fill in during property manager vacancies and vacations, step in when a property is facing operational challenges, lead special projects, and onboard newly acquired properties into the CIG portfolio.

Our properties are distressed assets in various stages of stabilization, and no two assignments look alike. One month this role may be running the day-to-day operations of a community between permanent managers; the next, it may be standing up a newly acquired property — establishing staffing, systems, and standards from day one. In every case, the National Property Manager assumes full ownership of the assigned property: leasing, collections, maintenance coordination, staff supervision, and reporting.

This role is ideal for a seasoned property manager who thrives on variety, adapts quickly to new teams and markets, and wants to make a visible impact across an entire portfolio rather than a single asset. Housing, travel, and meals are covered while on assignment.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

The scope of each assignment will vary by property, market, and the reason for deployment. Included but not limited to:

Property Operations & Financial Performance
  • Assume full responsibility for the daily operations of the assigned property — leasing, collections, maintenance, and reporting — from the first day of each assignment.
  • Operate the property within established financial guidelines; manage collections and evictions for the community.
  • Perform daily physical inspections of the property and coordinate with the maintenance team on repairs, unit turns, and curb appeal.
  • Enforce occupancy policies and procedures; ensure all CIG policies are upheld and infractions are properly reported.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion to handle and…
