Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role in Chicago, IL, for a Researcher (postdoc) in Mucosal Immunity and HIV at Northwestern University - Feinberg School of Medicine. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments related to mucosal immunity and HIV persistence, analyzing and interpreting data from non-human primate studies and/or 3D organoid cultures, preparing reports and manuscripts for publication, and presenting findings at scientific meetings.
Qualifications- Strong background and interest in immunology, tissue biology (lymph nodes and intestinal tissue, molecular biology, and virology)
- Experience with immunology and immunometabolic techniques such as flow cytometry, RNAseq, metabolomics and proteomics, cell culture, Sea Horse, qPCR and/or microscopy
- Proficiency in data analysis (familiar with R or Python), including statistical tools and bioinformatics
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
