The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, is searching for a faculty scientist at any rank, on the School of Medicine track, who will lead research contributing to the mission of The David and Etta Jonas Center for Cellular Therapy. In collaboration with other investigators in the Jonas Center, the appointee will apply their scientific background in basic and translational research to the development of therapeutic T cell receptors (TCR) against neoantigens, especially non-synonymous Single Nucleotide Variants expressed in cancers, particularly those of the pancreas and the ovary.
The appointee should be conversant with methods of T cell cloning, transduction, and transfection, as well as related techniques. In addition, the appointee will serve as the Scientific Director of the Jonas Center Tumor Biobank. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have a doctoral degree or equivalent and have completed at least one year of postdoctoral training.
Experience utilizing human tissue samples is required. We especially welcome applicants with experience in the identification, analysis, and selection of TCRs against neoantigens. Experience with murine tumor models is encouraged.
