Job SummaryThe job provides basic technical support activities related to scientific research projects. Complies with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates. Assists in drafting presentations on research findings.
Responsibilities- Routine animal care maintenance.
- Assists with daily operational oversight, quality control and resource coordination to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant lab environment.
- Molecular Biological Assistance.
- Assists with technical imaging.
- This job provides technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment performing basic laboratory techniques, research and analysis under direction.
- Complies with institution, state and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum requirements include vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field (not typically required to have a four-year degree).
Work ExperienceMinimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred Qualifications Education- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Research experience working in a molecular, cellular or developmental biology laboratory.
- Experience with basic imaging modalities.
- Ability to follow protocols and troubleshoot, when necessary.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently in an organized, detailed manner while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.
