Contract: 1 Year (Based on Performance & Business Needs)
K3 Innovations is seeking an experienced Chemist III to join a leading global biopharmaceutical organization supporting innovative pipeline projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical scientist with expertise in chromatography, mass spectrometry, and pharmaceutical analytical development to contribute to the characterization and impurity profiling of drug products in a regulated laboratory environment.

- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods for pharmaceutical products using HPLC, GC, and LC/MS
- Perform analytical separation and detection techniques to support complex impurity profiling and characterization of pharmaceutical products
- Plan, execute, and document laboratory experiments while generating accurate, reliable, and reproducible scientific data
- Interpret analytical results and prepare technical reports and scientific presentations for project teams
- Develop protocols for advanced analytical testing and support continuous laboratory improvements
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with GMP, GLP, GxP, and corporate safety requirements
- Utilize chromatography data systems including Empower, Open Lab, or Chromeleon for data acquisition and analysis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers to support product development and manufacturing initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
- 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience (industry or academic, depending on degree level)
- Strong technical background in analytical chemistry with demonstrated analytical problem‑solving skills
- Hands‑on experience developing and troubleshooting HPLC and GC methods
- Experience with LC/MS and a solid understanding of mass spectrometry principles
- Knowledge of organic chemistry, functional groups, and modern spectroscopic techniques applied to small molecules and peptide analysis
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and regulated laboratory environments
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively on cross‑functional teams
- Experience with peptide characterization, peptide impurity profiling, and stability studies
- Hands‑on experience with dissolution method development and analysis
- Pharmaceutical industry experience supporting solid oral dosage formulations (immediate- and extended‑release)
- Experience trending analytical data and evaluating stability results
- Knowledge of liquid chromatography data systems such as Empower, Open Lab, or Chromeleon
