Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences, Loyola University Chicago ( LUC ) invites applications for a full‑time post‑doctoral fellow, beginning in Academic Year 2026‑2027. The position is for one year with the possibility of renewal for additional years based on performance and funding. The postdoctoral fellow will support research in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Ye and Dr.

Yanan Chen to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying demyelinating diseases, including multiple sclerosis and leukodystrophies. Our research integrates cellular, genetic, pharmacological, electrophysiological, and behavioral approaches to understand mechanisms of oligodendrocyte dysfunction, neuroinflammation, and myelin repair, and to develop novel therapeutic strategies. The position is funded by ELA International and provides an ideal opportunity for candidates who are interested in gaining teaching experience while conducting cutting‑edge research.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
