Overview

We are hiring immediately for a part time BARTENDER position.

Kirkland & Ellis – 333 Wolf Point, Chicago, IL 60654.

Schedule:

Part time. Tuesday through Thursday, 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement:
Previous full bar experience and a valid Bartending certification is required.

Prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.

• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
• Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Ability to work individually and under leadership of senior bartender in a fast paced environment providing excellent service to VIP clientele.
• Bartender will prep the bar for regular service and special events, maintain the bar during service while serving guests, and will be responsible for the restock and cleanup of the bar.
• Ensure bar and lounge areas are clean and well presented.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for patrons.
• Beverage Service:
  Prepare and serve a variety of beverages (no cash handling) including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, according to guests preferences and firm standards.
• Track consumption on hourly basis.
• Lift and carry trays of beverages and food items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Professional demeanor and appearance suitable for an upscale private bar environment.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
