Minyoli is a family friendly neighborhood restaurant specializing in Taiwanese noodles. We are located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. The prep-cook position is approximately 40 hours a week, with the 8am-4pm shifts. Must have weekend availability (Fri-Sun).
Responsibilities:
Must learn and know the small focused menu well for purposes of introducing a potentially unfamiliar cuisine and awareness of allergies and food restrictions. We are looking for responsible applicants who are friendly and willing to learn about Taiwanese cuisine. We hope to share Taiwan’s warm hospitality with our guests.
Work in a team-oriented, guest-centric environment to deliver a welcoming dining experience by:
- Collaborate with Chef and kitchen crew to prepare and serve both savory and dessert menu items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, cooking equipments, and food storage area (including walk-in cooler).
- Receive and organize food deliveries.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste, compost, and recycling.
- Be able to stand for at least 8 hours.
- Follow and maintain safety protocols.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must look neat and clean for food service.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment.
- Strong time management skills, and a sense of urgency when approaching kitchen tasks.
- Passion for food and beverage, strong work ethic and dedication.
- Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands for this position are being able to walk up and down stairs, seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:
Hourly pay of $18/hr, with full health insurance & dental Insurance.
