IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Assistant Store Manager to oversee store operations and ensure sales goals and operational objectives are met.

• Act as Manager on Duty: oversee daily store operations and ensure sales objectives are met.
• Evaluate daily operations and initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Hold self and staff accountable for achieving sales goals and metrics.
• Foster a productive work environment through coaching and training of Sales Associates.
• Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude representative of IT’SUGAR core values.
• Follow our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT.
• Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
• Partner with the store manager to identify challenges and present solutions.
• Recruit and backfill positions by networking internally and externally with qualified candidates and building relationships.
• Assist the Store Manager with selecting, training, and coaching Associates/Supervisors and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Respond to customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products.
• Use selling skills to explain benefits, features, prices, quality, and value of products.
• Establish a collaborative selling culture and ensure staff are trained in IT’SUGAR selling programs.

• Maintain cash handling records, reports, and opening/closing procedures.
• Review merchandise orders and inventory levels for accuracy and consistency.
• Merchandise and ensure displays follow visual guidelines.
• Capture customer information to enhance sales and maintain client files.
• Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions.
• Communicate with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales and inventory turnover.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and communicate LP issues with the Store Manager.
• Maintain store cleanliness and basic facility upkeep (salesfloor/backroom/restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.).

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  2-3 years retail experience preferred; prior sales and management experience in retail preferred.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Able to lift/move up to 25 lbs independently; up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
