Position Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promote a positive environment, partner with the Store Manager to lead employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, count cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards and monitor loan qualification processes.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Minimum 18 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent.
- Willing and able to stand, stoop, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems.
- Cash handling experience required; analytical, detail‑oriented, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (required).
- Bilingual applicants encouraged.
- $17.40 to $20.40 per hour + commission up to 8% on transactions.
- Paid vacation (1 week after 6 months, additional weeks annually).
