Position: Retail Keyholder (Store 7557)

With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists store management in executing and supervising all store activities. This role involves delivering outstanding guest service, boosting sales through product knowledge, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and fostering guest loyalty.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, answer questions promptly, assist with gaming needs, inform about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items, and express gratitude.
  • Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and build relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Address guest comments in person or by phone with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Promote Game Stop’s guest benefits such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards loyalty program.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, and ensure fixtures and equipment are functional.
  • Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
  • Safeguard company assets through inventory control, loss prevention practices, and bank deposits.
  • Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and organize products alphabetically on the sales floor.
  • Support management in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
  • Balance and reconcile daily POS totals, complete closeout paperwork, and handle cash and change appropriately.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies, record them in the POS, and report to management as needed.
  • Process defectives, recalls, and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
  • Inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and belongings during closing or shift end.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates when management is absent.
  • Adhere to Game Stop policies, the Associate Handbook, and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures and observe associate performance to provide timely feedback.
Qualifications
  • Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

  • Deliver bank deposits following loss‑prevention safety guidelines.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum of three days per week.
  • Handle pressure and stress effectively.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting merchandise up to 30 lbs. from ground level to at least 4 feet.
  • Stand and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
