Position: IN-STORE BEAUTY ADVISOR

Join CRÈME’s nationwide community of Beauty Advisors to support our brands in retail stores (think Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Credo, etc.) with in-store hours, product training, customer education, makeup application, and high-level events. It’s the ultimate fun, flexible, freelance role!

Our national Beauty Advisors act as the in-store face for incredible skin, makeup, hair, and wellness brands. This role is crucial to drive brand awareness and sales by creating authentic connections with both customers and store team members.

The ideal Beauty Advisor is a friendly, passionate, outgoing, and self-motivated person with an understanding and deep love of beauty products. A positive attitude and problem‑solving approach is a must in this position. Additional professional experience as a makeup artist, hair stylist, esthetician, or beauty consultant is a major plus.

Location:
Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with store managers and employees
  • In‑person education and “tips and tricks” for retailer employees
  • Engage and connect with retail customers
  • Conduct on‑the‑floor mini facials, product demos, makeup applications and consultations
  • Ability and willingness to support the company as needed, i.e., trade shows, meetings, etc.
  • We’ll support your success by providing a training program that includes product knowledge sessions and virtual resources
  • Administrative duties include: re‑cap of communication with accounts, product sales and attendance report of supported events and trainings
  • Social Media engagement and photos when necessary
  • Monthly meetings with your manager, either virtually or in‑person
  • Time commitment estimated 1-3 days a week for in‑field support
  • Travel as needed within your region
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule – weekends often required
  • Appropriate business attire and grooming for training, in‑store events and support

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years beauty industry experience is preferred
  • 2+ years retail experience is preferred
  • Experience in the Credo, Ulta, Nordstrom, Blue Mercury, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus & Dillards environment is preferred
