Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring items are not damaged and bags contain at least five items.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets and help load bags into customers' cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning, inform customers of specials, and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts, clean spills, collect trash, and maintain store cleanliness.
• Handle seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, and assist with price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Participate in equipment maintenance and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines, and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally, act with honesty, and seek assistance when needed.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary
