Part Time and Full Time roles available – Retail (Sales) Associates or Barista (Cafe) Associates.

Location:

Oakbrook Center in Oakbrook, IL.

This position pays $18/hr the Hotel Chocolat Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring that customers are welcomed into stores and provided with excellent service, making sure that our stores, inclusive of all elements of Retail, Food & Beverage, are well presented according to our Retail Excellence guidelines. Product knowledge is vital to the brand image.

  Experience:
  
  Provide excellent customer experiences through delivery of our experience program, Phoenix, including welcoming customers, exploring their needs and answering questions.
• Brand: Be a Brand Ambassador, share and develop retail and cocoa knowledge to give all customers a consistent experience.
• Product Knowledge: Learn our range of products, manufacturing, allergens, sustainability, ethics; run tasting sessions and demonstrations.
• Stock: Receive deliveries, adhere to H&S guidelines, secure stock, present stock on shop floor, maintain cleanliness and best‑before dates.
• Operations: Ensure Health & Safety compliance, maintain hygiene & cleanliness, manage store security, and be responsible for opening/closing procedures and business requirements when Store Manager or Assistant Manager is absent.

• Customer Service: Previous experience not essential; a positive attitude and desire to work in a customer‑facing environment are preferred.
• Teamwork: Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team to achieve a shared goal or target; flexible support of colleagues.

  Identify product types, use guidelines to ensure displays are well presented and stocked, seasonally promoted.
• Communication: Ask relevant questions, listen to customers, adapt style, communicate openly and honestly.
• Product Knowledge: Passion for cocoa, ability to learn about products, and willingness to learn new products and innovations.
