Position Overview
The role supports sales operations at the Harry Potter Chicago store, maximizing customer and fan engagement to enhance the retail experience.
Responsibilities- Engage with guests consistently and proactively, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist customers with merchandise purchases by locating items, suggesting items of interest, and retrieving merchandise from inventory when needed.
- Follow the steps of service to ensure the best possible guest experience.
- Cascade customer feedback to the appropriate channels.
- Promote a positive and seamless guest experience.
- Support the store’s sales strategy and customer engagement plans.
- Handle register and cash duties, ensuring all transactions are complete and accurate.
- Follow, teach, and exhibit all safety and compliance protocols.
- Adhere to the store’s uniform policy and attend all scheduled shifts on time.
- Maintain an environment that keeps store shrinkage within acceptable parameters.
- Achieve delegated daily, monthly, or quarterly sales goals.
- Advocate and understand in‑store promotions.
- Maintain store appearance to meet visual merchandising standards.
- Teach and embody the store’s culture with every associate.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold company values and brand standards.
- Knowledge of the Harry Potter series and background.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, non‑verbal, visual), able to address both small and large groups.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and basic numerical skills.
- Highly motivated self‑starter with good initiative.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Open availability for a flexible work schedule, including overnights, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
$19 an hour.
