You were born to be the boss. We know. You get up in the morning and you make sure everyone else in the house is doing what they need to do. Then you go to work and you make sure that everyone there is doing what they need to do, even your boss. You just do that because you've always done it.
Maybe it’s time you moved up. If you want to be the boss, this is your chance. Domino’s Pizza is hiring assistant managers. It’s a tough job that requires judgment, math skills and the ability to multitask.
- Oversee everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations.
- Set the example and enforce all company policies and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from the crew.
- Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, scheduling, image and standards, customer service, attendance, punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing and profitability.
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler and work area.
- Prepare product and receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Attend orientation and training on the job.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.
- Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly; make correct monetary change.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36 to 90 degrees or above in some areas.
- Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters and hot surfaces up to 500 degrees.
- Sharp edges, moving mechanical parts and the need to work in a crowded environment.
- Standing for most of the shift, walking short distances, and occasional climbing stairs or ladders.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 12 pounds per tray.
- Pushing or pulling trays on dollies, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching above 72" and below the floor.
- Frequent use of both hands and eye‑hand coordination required for cooking and order processing.
