Territory Coverage Associate
As a Territory Coverage Associate, you convert staffing gaps into reliable, high‑quality execution. You provide hands‑on support to Merchandisers and Order Writers, maintain operational consistency, uphold brand and execution standards, and ensure stores stay aligned with company expectations. You will serve as an ambassador for world‑famous brands such as Oreo, Ritz, belVita, Chips Ahoy, and Triscuit.
Primary Responsibilities- Represent Mondelēz: Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and commitment to execution excellence while supporting Merchandisers and Order Writers across the territory.
- Serve as a trusted field partner: Deliver strong customer service to store teams while reinforcing Mondelēz’s standards and expectations.
- Execute daily coverage: Complete store visits using Merchandising Excellence standards and Order Writing Excellence, capture display photos, and document execution through DMI & Sales Force.
- Implement promotional displays: Ensure compliance with RTM‑negotiated plans and maintain strong visibility of our brands.
- Follow assigned schedules: Execute daily priorities set by your District Manager or RTM to ensure efficient and effective territory coverage.
- Assist with seasonal transitions: Support new product launches, seasonal merchandising, and high‑visibility promotional events.
- Build and maintain relationships: Partner with store personnel—including receivers, department managers, and store leadership—to support smooth execution and collaboration.
- Support capability building: Reinforce foundational skills and assist with the onboarding of new Merchandisers and Order Writers to strengthen field capability.
- Develop for future leadership: Build operational, communication, and problem‑solving skills that serve as a foundation for potential advancement into management roles.
- Stay Safe and Compliant: Embrace the physical nature of the role—including lifting, bending, and moving product—and follow all safety protocols, operational guidelines, and vehicle policies.
- Coverage and Execution Excellence: Skilled in stepping into Merchandiser and Order Writer roles to maintain consistent shelf standards, product rotation, and display execution across the territory.
- Customer Service Mindset: Friendly, approachable, and committed to creating a positive experience for store teams and shoppers.
- Digital Readiness: Confident using mobile tools and applications to follow schedules, document execution, capture display photos, and complete coverage tasks accurately.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Flexible and proactive in responding to coverage needs, seasonal priorities, and unexpected store challenges with a solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Time and Task Management: Organized and efficient in completing store visits, managing coverage assignments, and maintaining consistent execution across multiple locations.
- Physical Readiness: Energetic and capable of lifting, bending, and moving product throughout the day with pride and purpose.
- Capability Support: Confident reinforcing foundational skills and supporting the onboarding of new Merchandisers and Order Writers to strengthen field capability.
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which you reside.
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- 1‑3 years of experience in retail or consumer goods preferred.
- Live inside the geographical boundaries of the team.
- Flexible schedule availability required, including weekends.
- Ability to travel across assigned markets.
- Ability to perform physical activities (frequent lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs., occasionally over 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.).
- Mondelez International also offers a company vehicle, which includes a gas card and vehicle maintenance program.
The base salary range for this position is $40,600 to $55,825; the exact salary depends on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
