John Lobb is opening its new flagship store in Chicago, a significant step in the House’s expansion across the Americas. We are seeking an outstanding Store Director to lead this exciting opening and establish a strong local presence.

This sales role entails involvement in all aspects of daily boutique life, including dealing with stock and deliveries, after‑care services, customer communication and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will maximize sales while delivering the highest level of customer service and building lasting relationships.

• Sales floor operations
• Act as a member of the sales team offering excellent customer service and maximizing sales opportunities while ensuring customer retention
• Develop an in‑depth knowledge of all John Lobb products and their features and benefits
• Maintain and refresh in‑store displays to keep them relevant and attractive
• Handle customer queries, correspondence, and after‑sales support activities
• Stock and back‑office management: maintain knowledge of available stock, ensure proper storage, and coordinate ordering, receiving and maintenance processes
• Contribute to the maintenance of an accurate customer database to support CRM initiatives
• Participate in security activities and ensure the protection of stock and property
• Liaise with the wider John Lobb team to support store requirements
• Undertake projects and responsibilities as directed by the Manager

• Previous experience of at least 3 years in high‑end or luxury international retail; experience in shoes or men’s clothing is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in another language is a strong advantage
• Basic retail administrative knowledge, including CRM, databases and e‑commerce, is desirable
• Strong customer‑relations skills and a sophisticated approach to selling
• Team player, dynamic, flexible, adaptable and proactive with a focus on performance
• Good problem‑solving skills and a willingness to undertake responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation

$25 to $27 per hour, with actual rates determined by role, location and individual experience.
