Overview
Client Relations Specialist - Fast Track Opportunity to Freight Broker. Join C.H. Robinson as an Associate Portfolio Executive and begin learning and building your customer portfolio as part of an accelerated training track, ensuring service delivery aligns with customer commitments. Upon completion of the training track, you will move into a Portfolio Executive role. This position emphasizes relationship development and business expansion with customers introduced by our sales resources.
Responsibilities- Customer
Experience:
Drive the conversion of sales leads into active customers by establishing strong contacts, fostering relationships, and understanding customer needs to achieve strong conversion rates. - Proactively engage with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to meet customer needs and growth targets.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and exceptions while managing conflict diplomatically.
- Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Reconnect with dormant customers to foster relationships and stimulate demand.
- Execute pricing strategy with effective negotiation, market acumen, and knowledge of customer buying habits.
- Maintain a sense of urgency in addressing both teammates customers and your own developing portfolio.
- Service Delivery & Business Development:
Generate additional business within teammates portfolios, exceed monthly volume and revenue targets, and expand portfolio size. - Drive demand by engaging customers, fostering relationships, and pursuing business prospects.
- Identify growth potential within accounts and transition transactional engagements into partnerships.
- Stay updated on customer, industry, and market changes to identify growth opportunities.
- Execute customer-facing operational tasks such as quoting, load building, shipment activation, and handling order-level service escalations.
- Process Efficiency:
Adopt new tools and processes to improve workflow; use data to identify service improvements and expand wallet share. - Partner with internal resources to ensure account processes and SOPs are complete and adhered to.
- Maintain a minimum portfolio size by volume and revenue and participate in team stand-ups.
- Use technology to manage order statuses and address exceptions; leverage Navisphere 2.0 and support adoption.
- Assist in developing SOPs to manage customers business effectively.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED;
Minimum 6 months Customer Engagement Experience (internal or external);
Ability to travel up to 10%. - Preferred:
Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university; attention to detail, problem-solving; demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; commitment to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Compensation Range: $19.23 - $38.47 per hour. The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this location; individual pay depends on skills, experience, and education. Benefits include two medical plans, dental and vision, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and PTO, paid parental leave, volunteer time off, and other career development opportunities.
