Territory Sales Representative – Robotics & Automation Midwest
Location:
IL, WI, or MN
Travel: ~50% overnight travel
OverviewA growing automation-focused organization is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive business across the Midwest. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with a strong background in robotics and industrial automation, particularly selling through system integrators, distributors, and machine builders. The role offers territory ownership, autonomy, and strong upside in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities- Drive regional sales growth by managing key industrial accounts and developing new business opportunities across the West Coast
- Lead customer engagements for robotic and automation solutions, including validation, testing, prototyping, and system integration
- Work closely with system integrators, OEMs, distributors, and machine builders to expand channel-driven sales
- Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and track performance in a commission-driven environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, applications, and leadership teams to expand U.S. market presence and deliver high-value automation solutions
- Represent the company at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed
- Proven sales experience in robotics, automation, or industrial capital equipment
- Strong success selling through system integrators and distributor channels
- Track record of new business development and territory growth
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in consultative, solution-oriented sales
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating independently in a growing organization
- Growing company with expanding U.S. market presence
- Ownership of a high-potential West Coast territory
