Territory Sales Representative – Robotics & Automation Midwest

Location:

IL, WI, or MN

Travel: ~50% overnight travel

Overview

A growing automation-focused organization is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to drive business across the Midwest. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with a strong background in robotics and industrial automation, particularly selling through system integrators, distributors, and machine builders. The role offers territory ownership, autonomy, and strong upside in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive regional sales growth by managing key industrial accounts and developing new business opportunities across the West Coast
  • Lead customer engagements for robotic and automation solutions, including validation, testing, prototyping, and system integration
  • Work closely with system integrators, OEMs, distributors, and machine builders to expand channel-driven sales
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, forecast revenue, and track performance in a commission-driven environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, applications, and leadership teams to expand U.S. market presence and deliver high-value automation solutions
  • Represent the company at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience in robotics, automation, or industrial capital equipment
  • Strong success selling through system integrators and distributor channels
  • Track record of new business development and territory growth
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage in consultative, solution-oriented sales
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating independently in a growing organization
