Your opportunity

Alliance Sales Executive, MSFT Alliance – Microsoft State & Local Government is part of EY’s Sales & Strategic Pursuits (S&SP) function. You’ll be the market-facing, experienced seller and subject matter expert focused on the overall Alliance sales strategy and the MSFT-powered EY solutions relevant to State & Local government clients. You will build deep relationships with the alliance partner field, advocate and evangelize EY, and be the face of MSFT within EY to sector and account teams, helping expand the EY MSFT Alliance in the US.

You’ll drive the pursuit of new business, the alliance partner pipeline and EY sales by originating deals across three channels: clients, the MSFT field teams, and EY account teams."

Responsibilities

As a MSFT Alliance SE, you’ll be responsible for leading the Alliance sales activity by delivering against defined sales and pipeline targets. You’ll build relationships with top priority clients for joint alliance pursuits and drive sales directly in the market. You’ll be a subject matter expert on the alliance program, MSFT powered transformations and solutions and the joint EY-MSFT value proposition.

You will have expertise and experience in MSFT technologies, working with the MSFT channel teams on sales & GTM motions, developing/maintaining relevant alliance partner relationships and able to lead pursuits independently through qualification phase if needed. Your time will be primarily focused on external selling, actively engaging with MSFT, your client(s) and EY account and industry leadership.

You’ll need to thrive in a matrixed organization, balancing the needs of the client against business initiatives and goals. Your ability to develop and build networks will be instrumental in connecting with colleagues across sales teams, leadership teams and industry sector teams to drive a coordinated market effort. Possessing natural coaching skills, you’ll inspire others with your actions in the market.

You’ll be a trusted advisor to clients, MSFT and EY’s account teams, acting in a consultative manner. You’ll be the catalyst that pulls stakeholders together to drive strategic initiatives and grow sales.

Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 12 to 15+ years of quota carrying sales experience in professional services, solutions, and technology.
  • Direct and MSFT channel sales experience.
  • Experience selling to State and Local government entities.
  • Services sales experience working at Big 4 firm or other GSI.
  • Knowledge and expertise across top Microsoft technologies including but not limited to Azure/cloud, Data & AI, cyber and Power Platforms.
  • Expert client management and relationship skills, strong executive presence, and expertise in influencing without authority.
  • Expert knowledge of EY’s Alliances, products and services.
  • Solid understanding of the marketplace/industry, competitive intel, and target account profiles information.
  • Strong ability to manage and resolve conflict.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Technical IT background and/ or delivery management leadership experience.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Team selling experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
