Sales and Events Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in Chicago restaurant events
- Demonstrated ability to independently source and close event business
- Strong understanding of BEO setup and execution
- Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- In-depth knowledge of menu planning, staffing, and forecasting for events
Sales and Events Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience in steakhouses, sushi, or independent fine dining restaurants
- Familiarity with the Chicago dining and events market
- Creativity in design, layout, and event execution
- Comfortable networking with VIPs, high-net-worth clients, and community leaders
Sales and Events Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Drive event sales, from prospecting and networking to contracting and execution
- Cultivate relationships with local businesses, VIP guests, and key event partners
- Design, coordinate, and oversee private dining, buyouts, and catering opportunities
- Act as the on-site point of contact for high-profile and VVIP functions
- Train and support teams on exemplary guest service and event standards
- Strategically identify and pursue catering and offsite event opportunities
