JAS is an international supply chain services and solutions provider offering air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and consulting services.

Business Development Manager (BDM)

The BDM is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share by developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize market data to develop sales strategies that increase the SILVER, GOLD, and PLATINUM customer base.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by the company.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Provide pricing, credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Provide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territory.
  • Actively participate in aggressive sales and skills training.
  • Adhere to all requirements outlined in the Sales Policy.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services.
  • Experience with CRM and CMS tools preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry including air, ocean, imports, exports, and customs brokerage operations.
  • Deep knowledge of the local market, customers, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Skilled in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to travel frequently within the region.
  • Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques.
  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self‑driven individual, able to work both in a team and independently.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Experience selling in verticals such as Projects, Pharma & Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Technology, and Energy Solutions.
  • Experience with CMS system.
Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range: $100,000 – $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Benefits include dental, vision, and health insurance, 401(k), and performance‑based bonuses.
