Job Summary
CSA Group is looking for a New Account Manager – Industrial based in Chicago, Illinois. The primary responsibility is to serve as the main customer contact for developing new accounts. The role works closely with Marketing to identify prospects, nurture leads, and create accurate new‑account strategies to win business from companies that are not yet doing work with CSA Group.
Responsibilities- Establish new account relationships to meet personal sales targets, emphasizing the entire value chain of CSA Group services.
- Independently prospect for new customers within the assigned territory using various lead‑generation and direct‑solicitation methods.
- Prospect, quote, and target sales on a yearly basis.
- Contact former CSA Group customers lost to other agencies to attempt to regain work.
- Prepare written cost proposals for services, working with Technical Specialists and Operations staff.
- Participate in associations and outside organizations deemed appropriate by management.
- Establish and maintain a list of contacts based on experience, historical utilization, reputation, influence, and personal judgment.
- Provide periodic written reports on calls, customer contact, proposals, quotes, expenses, travel, and trade‑show activities, as well as oral presentations as required.
- Evaluate industry reports, territory databases, and external competitive information to develop territory analysis and provide input for presentations and reporting to the manager.
- Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of sales experience or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with sales CRM tracking software is a plus.
- Proven ability to consistently exceed sales goals and deal with large organizations at senior levels.
- Preferred experience with Industrial Equipment and Hazardous Locations Certification.
- Create clear, effective, and professional written communication and presentations.
- Develop, prepare, and execute complex business strategies while organizing multiple projects and responsibilities.
- Strong initiative, organization, time‑management, and project‑management skills.
- Maintain positive contacts within the organization and effectively follow up on client requests.
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM database applications.
- Responsive and pleasant when dealing with customers, peers, and co‑workers.
- High level of initiative and motivation to meet or exceed targeted goals with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality in previous positions is essential.
