Who We Are Looking For
The Trade Desk is searching for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing sales team. This full‑time role will play a vital part in driving outbound demand velocity in North America.
What You Will Be Doing- Effectively construct and execute outbound outreach to a defined prospect list.
- Execute outbound prospecting initiatives.
- Conduct high‑level introductory conversations, listening to and understanding each prospect’s goals and challenges; assess customer needs and recommend appropriate TTD features and value.
- Spend several hours a day on the phone with prospective clients.
- Personally responsible for meeting monthly individual goals and job SLAs.
- Work closely with the Growth Team Sales and Marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance, improve lead qualification, and lead scoring.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Help manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce.
- Determine the appropriate business approach for potential clients.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4+ years of relevant business development experience.
- Comfort and confidence with cold calling and sending outbound emails daily.
- Ability to promote/sell ideas persuasively.
- Complex problem‑solving skills, uncovering business challenges and making thoughtful recommendations.
- Interest in learning the ins and outs of business development at a technology company; foundation for a successful sales career.
- Previous advertising technology experience (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proven ability to work solo and as a productive team member.
- Fundamental understanding of the sales process.
- Experience with Salesforce or internal CRM tools is a plus, but not required.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Alignment with TTD’s values:

The base salary range for this role is $77,600 — $142,200 USD. Employees may be eligible for stock‑based compensation, variable incentives, and commissions. The role also includes comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits such as a 401(k) plan with company match, short and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well‑being benefits, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, sick time, vacation time (up to 120 hours in the first year and 160 hours thereafter), 13 paid holidays per year, and participation in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
Interns are not eligible for variable incentive awards such as stock‑based compensation, retirement plans, vacation, tuition reimbursement, or parental leave.
