THE ROLE

As the Territory Sales Manager – Illinois
, you will own sales growth, retail execution, and brand development across your assigned territory. This is a high-impact, field-based role for a driven sales professional who knows how to win at store level, build strong retail partnerships, and turn market opportunities into measurable growth.

You will be responsible for strengthening existing accounts, securing new business, executing best-in-class trade marketing initiatives, and ensuring NEVCORE’s brands show up powerfully  are looking for a true road warrior with a hunter mentality - someone who is energized by being in the field, building relationships, overcoming objections, and celebrating wins alongside our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong partnerships with key retail accounts to drive sales growth and enhance brand presence.
  • Complete 15–20 quality retail store visits per full workday
    , depending on route density, travel time, and market priorities. This target is a performance benchmark, not a cap. Representatives are expected to work their full scheduled day and continue productive field activity, including additional store visits, account development, merchandising, distributor engagement, and administrative responsibilities once the benchmark has been achieved.
  • Identify and capitalize on sell-through opportunities by leveraging market trends, customer behavior, store dynamics, and consumer insights.
  • Drive trade marketing programs, including the placement of POSM materials to maximize visibility and strengthen in-store execution.
  • Build and nurture relationships with retail partners, distributors, and wholesalers to support brand representation, product availability, and long-term account growth.
  • Track, report, and manage key performance metrics to ensure sales activity and marketing initiatives are executed effectively.
  • Provide in-field coaching, support, and account-level guidance to help achieve sales targets and improve execution standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and wholesale partners to maintain optimal stock levels across the territory.
  • Conduct inventory checks and support distribution management to ensure consistent product availability at retail.
  • Manage and execute sampling programs to gather feedback, support brand engagement, and strengthen consumer awareness where permitted.
  • Monitor competitive activity, retail trends, and market shifts to identify new growth opportunities and increase market penetration.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 1 to 2 years of previous sales or marketing experience within FMCG, nicotine, consumer goods, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute marketing programs, drive retail performance, and achieve sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and field responsibilities.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and results-oriented mindset.
  • A true field operator who is comfortable spending the majority of their time on the road, visiting stores, opening new accounts, and driving execution.
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English is considered an asset.
