The Opportunity:Strategic Account Director
We are seeking a Strategic Account Director to aggressively expand our Event Production footprint within Fortune 5000 companies. This pure Business Development position is for a hunter who thrives on building a book of business from scratch, as this role will not receive inbound opportunities.
The Mission- First Year Benchmark: Close $1M in new business within the first 12 months.
- Outbounding: Build a pipeline through strategic outreach, industry networking, and deep-rooted relationships. Success on zero inbound leads.
- Strategic Hunting: Sell solutions, not services; navigate complex decision‑making hierarchies.
- Presence: Be in the field and with clients frequently; expect at least 30% travel.
- Closing Deals:
Qualify, pitch, and close multi‑million dollar event programs. - Full‑Cycle Ownership:
From first contact to contract negotiations and ensuring flawless first execution. - Pipeline Engineering:
Constantly hunt for global clients with high‑frequency event calendars. - Relationship Architecture:
Build personal and professional bonds with top‑tier meeting planners and C‑suite stakeholders.
- Proven Track Record:
Built a book of business from the ground up and managed $10M+ lifetime event revenue across a diverse client list. - Agency Veteran:
At least 5+ years of event industry experience, preferably agency‑side. - Relationships Established:
High‑level relationships within target sectors (Pharma, Fin Serv, Tech, Consulting). - Strategic Acumen:
Map a client’s business goals to technical production reality. - Grit & Initiative:
Identify targets and pursue them proactively.
- True Autonomy:
Freedom to bring in business creatively. - Uncapped Earning Potential:
