Regional Sales Manager – Energy and Industrial Infrastructure
The Regional Sales Manager leads sales efforts for the Energy and Industrial Infrastructure Business Unit, managing third‑party representatives and distribution channels across a large territory.
Responsibilities- Oversee sales activities across 12+ states and manage a team of nine or more representatives, holding full accountability for performance and development.
- Develop annual growth plans and sales initiatives for the third‑party representative network, assessing agency performance and coaching representatives to meet operational goals.
- Create mutual growth plans with strategic partners, train distributors on products, lead customer negotiations, and manage sales pipelines and forecasts.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and competitive intelligence, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to address customer needs effectively.
- Provide organized, professional presentations that demonstrate product knowledge and applicability to customer needs.
- Analyze market conditions to identify channel partner opportunities and develop conversion presentations to shift competition.
- Promote and facilitate EDI, Celerity set‑ups, and POS feedback; train existing or new distributors on new products.
- Build strong customer relationships with strategic distribution partners and provide quarterly sales forecasts.
- Leverage internal marketing resources to align objectives with the Strategic Plan.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 7–10 years of technical sales experience, with preference for experience in global manufacturing companies.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with MS Office; basic SAP knowledge is essential.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Self‑starter and team player with strong written and oral communication abilities.
- High attention to detail, excellent follow‑up skills, and results orientation.
$104,400 – $161,760, depending on location, skill set, and experience.
