About this job

As an Account Executive within our Agency team, you will support the growth of existing client partnerships and agency revenue by evangelizing MRI-Simmons solutions and delivering white-glove client service. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients - leveraging strong relationship-building, consultative selling, and analytical skills to help clients solve business challenges using our industry-leading data and activation products.

Starting with an established book of business, you will develop deep client relationships, identify expansion opportunities, and drive incremental revenue through upselling and cross-selling MRI-Simmons solutions. This role will carry a quota.

We’re looking for a motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment and is eager to grow existing client business while elevating MRI-Simmons’ profile as a strategic partner.

Responsibilities
  • Develop deep expertise across the full suite of MRI-Simmons products in order to deliver best-in-class client support
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting, and collaborative relationships with assigned clients
  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact, coordinating ongoing support and account needs
  • Lead and coordinate account reviews, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Drive revenue growth through upselling and expansion of MRI-Simmons solutions and building/expanding relationships with key agency departments:
    Strategy, Research, Media, Planning, Investment
  • Coordinate and deliver client training on MRI-Simmons software, data, and activation products
  • Communicate effectively with clients in both written and verbal formats, delivering a consistently high level of service
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership and internal teams to identify and execute on revenue-generating opportunities
  • Stay current on client initiatives to ensure successful delivery, follow-up, and development of case studies
  • Leverage MRI-Simmons data to align with client strategies, identify new business opportunities, participate in client meetings, and deliver actionable insights
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business, customers, and objectives—and how MRI-Simmons solutions can support them
  • Create insightful presentations that educate clients on MRI-Simmons capabilities, data assets, and resources
  • Prepare integrated, research-based presentations and proposals that position MRI-Simmons as a strategic consultant and partner
  • Partner with Sales Account Directors to identify strategic opportunities using a combination of industry insights and MRI-Simmons data
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of sales/account management experience within market research, advanced advertising, media, or a related industry (syndicated and/or custom research experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships and apply consultative selling techniques
  • Ability to present, synthesize, and tell a compelling story with data
  • Working knowledge of syndicated consumer data and the programmatic space (preferred)
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Solid business acumen, problem-solving ability, and analytical mindset
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field
