Position
Secondary K12 College and Career Readiness Account Executive
Assigned territory:
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Candidates must reside within the territory.
- Sales Growth: Achieve and exceed sales revenue goals in assigned territories by identifying and closing new sales opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Identify and collaborate with decision‑makers to deliver impactful solutions that boost student achievement. Develop multi‑year business plans incorporating customer needs and funding criteria.
- Market Expansion: Uncover and seize new opportunities while cross‑selling products to drive client acquisition.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed sales and pipeline reports to monitor secured and potential sales using strategic analytics.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (product, marketing, government relations, customer service) to provide insights into product development and marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated success in field sales, particularly in the college and career readiness space, with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Previous experience expanding curriculum to serve 6‑12 students; college and career readiness experience preferred.
- Experience developing and managing productive sales pipelines, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work independently and within a team, creative problem‑solving, and results‑driven approach.
- Proven success consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Networking experience and influence with decision‑makers at the secondary K12 level.
- Ability to drive decision‑makers toward Savvas sales solutions; strategic sales thinker and outstanding communicator.
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing organization.
- Excellent listening, writing, and presentation skills; technology‑savvy.
- Prior experience with Salesforce suite preferred.
- Rapid learning of new and existing product lines and solutions.
- Capability to demonstrate, stay current, and drive technology trends internally and externally.
- B.A. degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience; prior work in career and technical education publishing or related industry preferred.
- Frequent travel up to 70% (including overnight stays, evenings, weekends).
- Flexibility to travel on short notice.
- Ability to sit or stand at a computer for reasonable time; typing and reading proficiency required.
- Ability to handle high volume and multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must perform essential duties satisfactorily.
