Position Overview

Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Director of Business & Leisure Travel to lead strategic sales initiatives across both corporate transient and luxury leisure travel segments.

This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving top‑line revenue through the acquisition, retention, and growth of key corporate accounts, luxury travel agency partnerships, consortia relationships, entertainment and sports travel opportunities, and high‑net‑worth leisure clientele.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals, cultivating strategic partnerships, and successfully managing both corporate and luxury leisure business within a luxury hotel environment. This individual will serve as a brand ambassador for the hotel, strengthening market position, expanding revenue opportunities, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Strategic Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to increase transient corporate and luxury leisure revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Identify, solicit, negotiate, and manage local, regional, national, and international accounts.
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate travel managers, procurement professionals, executive assistants, luxury travel advisors, preferred partner agencies, destination management companies, tour operators, and consortia partners.
  • Target key industries including finance, consulting, technology, healthcare, legal, and professional services.
  • Drive business through luxury travel networks, high‑end leisure channels, and strategic partnerships.
  • Promote exclusive hotel experiences, seasonal offerings, and tailored packages designed to attract affluent travelers.
Account Management & Business Development
  • Achieve and exceed annual room revenue, ADR, and market share objectives.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key business and leisure travel partners.
  • Monitor account production and implement strategies to increase market penetration and share of wallet.
  • Conduct sales calls, client presentations, site inspections, networking engagements, and business development activities.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, pipeline reports, and business reviews for executive leadership.
Market Representation & Relationship Management
  • Serve as a primary representative of the hotel within the corporate, luxury travel, and hospitality communities.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and client functions.
  • Host familiarization trips, travel advisor visits, and key account experiences.
  • Foster strong partnerships with tourism organizations, local business associations, cultural institutions, and major event stakeholders.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, Guest Experience, Catering, and Group Sales teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and successful execution of sales strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and production data to identify opportunities for growth and optimize account performance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and market insights to senior leadership.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and business planning initiatives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality and guest service.
  • Mentor junior sales professionals and contribute to a high‑performance sales culture.
  • Ensure all sales initiatives align with the hotel's luxury positioning and brand standards.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of luxury hospitality sales experience, business acumen, and relationship‑building expertise.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive hospitality sales experience, including luxury hotel experience.
  • Proven success managing both corporate transient and luxury leisure travel segments.
