Sales Representative / Account Manager

A growing Chicago-based transportation and logistics provider is looking to add experienced Sales Representatives / Account Managers to its team.

In this role, you will be responsible for hunting for new customers and selling a broad range of transportation solutions including van, flatbed, reefer, partial/LTL, and drayage services.

The organization offers a flexible hybrid work environment with an initial focus on in-office training and collaboration, followed by increased flexibility based on performance and business needs. Compensation is designed to reward high performers, with strong commission potential and flexibility around base salary depending on experience and earnings expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Sales experience within freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, or supply chain services
  • Proven track record of generating new business and managing customer relationships
  • Experience selling transportation solutions such as truckload, flatbed, reefer, LTL, partials, or drayage services
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build and grow a personal book of business
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working for a freight brokerage or third-party logistics (3PL) provider
  • Existing customer relationships or industry network
  • Strong account management and customer retention experience
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
  • Desire to maximize earnings through commission-based compensation
What You Will Be Doing
  • Prospect and develop new customer relationships
  • Sell transportation and logistics solutions including van, flatbed, reefer, partial/LTL, and drayage services
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure customer success
