General Function
The selected candidate will become a Retail Personal Banker II after completing a 4‑to‑8‑week onboarding and education program that includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. This program culminates in a certification that demonstrates the skills required to perform the Retail Personal Banker role, which focuses on sales development, relationship building, and the promotion of deposits, loans, fee‑based services, and customer retention.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Use a consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build thorough customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of retail consumer and small business products and services, recommending appropriate solutions using the bank’s value proposition.
- Utilize CAMP and approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and schedule periodic financial reviews.
- Focus on cross‑selling to the existing customer base and engaging in outside sales activities such as Membership Advantage on‑site presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events.
- Build close working relationships with assigned business partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment) and refer customers to provide timely, holistic financial solutions.
- Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, enhancing year‑over‑year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L.
- Provide guidance to CSRs regarding the sales and referral process.
- Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism.
- Act with confidence by answering customer questions and owning customer issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and trust by keeping all business information confidential.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of retail products.
- Participate in the consumer loan and bank card process, owning sourced loans from application through closing.
- Participate in the opening/closing process of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager.
- Stay current on retail procedures designed to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure.

Minimum Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
Required
- College degree or equivalent work experience with transferable skills.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Demonstrated comfort with sales activities that acquire new consumers and small business customers, and/or cross‑sell to existing customers.
- Ability to perform advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
- Professional representation of Fifth Third Bank in appearance and verbal/written communication.
- Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to use good judgment and make sound decisions.
- Required S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
- Spanish speaking preferred

Base salary ranges from $43,680 to $69,900 USD annually. Compensation includes comprehensive benefits designed to support the physical, financial, emotional, and social well‑being of employees and their families.
