Inside Sales & Sales Support Specialist
The Inside Sales & Sales Support Specialist is the link between our customers, sales team, and operations. This role ensures that every customer interaction—whether it’s a virtual sale, quote, a complex order, or a technical inquiry—feels seamless, informed, and valued. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the speed at which we can bring new food innovations to market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee a portfolio of business selling products remotely.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound customer inquiries—providing product information, pricing, and order updates with accuracy and warmth.
- Support the outside sales team by preparing quotes, proposals, and sample requests for food ingredients such as flavors, seasonings, and functional additives.
- Manage and track orders from entry to delivery, coordinating with procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure on-time, in-spec shipments.
- Maintain and update CRM & ERP records to ensure accurate customer data, sales activity tracking, and pipeline visibility.
- Proactively follow up on leads, sample requests, and expiring contracts to drive conversions and renewals.
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to address customer formulation questions and provide ingredient specifications.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to share insights with the sales team for strategic planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, or customer service—preferably in the food ingredients or B2B food manufacturing industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical product details into customer-friendly language.
- Proficiency with CRM & ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a knack for juggling multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
- A collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bonus:
Familiarity with food ingredient regulations, labeling requirements, or supply chain processes.
- Position will be based at our Chaska, MN - Onsite.
