Position Territory:
Chicago North Side, Northern Suburbs, Northern IL, and Southern WI

ViiV Healthcare is seeking an experienced, results‑driven professional for the Territory Account Manager (TAM) position on the Long‑Acting HIV Injectable Treatment Sales team. The role involves working with healthcare professionals to adopt a new HIV treatment approach, partnering cross‑functionally, and driving results within an integrated account management framework and buy‑and‑bill treatment model.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver results through exceptional sales and service.
  • Identify, target, and win new business by influencing HCPs to adopt a new HIV treatment approach.
  • Engage with HCPs, nurses, staff, and administrators to understand clinical, organizational, and financial challenges and opportunities within target accounts.
  • Leverage data analytics, business acumen, and market expertise to identify high‑priority prospects.
  • Prepare and execute business plans tailored to each customer’s needs, helping HCPs scale their treatment model to reach more patients.
  • Coordinate and partner with cross‑functional team members (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers) to deliver an integrated product experience.
  • Maintain a portfolio‑based selling mindset and close internal communication loops to ensure a cohesive, integrated customer experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by proactively anticipating and addressing HCP problems, needs, and requests.
  • Adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals using KPIs, scaling of successes, and business problem solving.
  • Develop and foster external relationships with key customers and thought leaders.
  • Act in ways consistent with ViiV’s culture, expectations, and values.
  • Embrace the ambiguity in a launch environment and view setbacks as learning opportunities.
  • Escalate issues and risks when needed; speak up when appropriate.
  • Understand and follow key compliance and regulatory guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 3+ years of specialty sales experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, including overnight travel; majority of time spent in market.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
  • Strong planning, organization, analytical, business‑acumen, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with sales success in complex market access coverage situations.
  • Experience working with HCPs to procure, manage, and administer cold‑chain treatment products.
  • Knowledge of the HIV treatment and/or prevention markets.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally within an integrated account team model that includes multiple field‑based team members.
Compensation & Benefits

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $145,500 to $242,500. The salary includes an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in a share‑based long‑term incentive program. Benefits include health care and other insurance for employees and families, retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave. All employees receive the same benefits options and plans as GSK employees.
