Job Summary
Primary responsibility is to initiate and guide Hospital Automation strategy in the US Acute Care marketplace. This position works with US Acute Care Territory Managers, Regional Directors, and Clinical Specialists to evaluate target sites in collaboration with the sales team. Additionally, the role focuses on targeting and creating an in-house technology pipeline for Safety Net (SN) and Iris, and on engaging regional and national key opinion leaders (KOLs) to endorse the use of Patient Safety Net, Iris, and Clinical Alarm Management with Masimo solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities- Work with Territory Managers and Regional Directors to identify new opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline for SN, Iris, Connectivity, Analytics, and clinical alarm management.
- Present the clinical, operational, and financial benefits of the Automation portfolio.
- Enhance the sales team’s ability to present the clinical, operational, and financial benefits of Patient Safety Net and Iris.
- Function as a subject‑matter expert in Safety Net Alarm Management and Data Solutions, collaborating with the Acute Team to expand opportunities.
- Present technical solutions in the Automation portfolio during pre‑sale activities alongside the Territory Manager.
- Develop a sales process and perfect quotations for customers in collaboration with the Senior Director of Corporate Accounts.
- Work with the Clinical Specialist to support customer needs post‑sale.
- Support local, regional, and national trade shows as necessary.
- Identify and document care unit and IT system profiles for assigned facilities.
- Effectively articulate information from clinical studies regarding Masimo technologies.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence and the ability to work successfully as part of a team.
- Collaborate with Masimo Team Members across Sales, Corporate Accounts, IDN, Clinical Specialists, Sales Administration, Customer Service, and Implementation to provide critical market insights.
- Coordinate clinical evaluations of Masimo’s Automation technology to establish credible clinical champions.
- Create and maintain a CRM database of key account information, including pipeline, account profiles, current status, next steps for targeted VCCCs, and realistic sales forecasts.
- Travel at least 60% of the time.
- Perform special projects as requested.
- Healthcare sales background – 1 to 3 years in healthcare, preferably in informatics, clinical engineering, or health‑care IT.
- Clinical knowledge demonstrated by previous sales or marketing history; able to discuss Automation models and value delivery across all care units.
- Technical aptitude for Automation products, evidenced by an undergraduate degree, hands‑on experience in a healthcare delivery organization, or comparable sales/marketing work.
- Formal training or studies in the art of selling.
- Demonstrated, quantifiable sales ability.
- Team player with a history of successful collaboration.
- Strong sense of ambition, self‑motivation, and self‑discipline.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills and exceptional ability to lead group presentations.
- Understanding and display of emotional intelligence.
- History of successfully managing customer interactions.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Travel and overnight stays required, and a valid driver’s license.
- Background knowledge of Hospital IT and EMR connectivity and the current product landscape.
- Familiarity with IHE PCD frameworks.
- Familiarity with clinical use cases for medical device integration.
- Background knowledge of the health‑IT sales cycle in hospital, surgery, or long‑term‑care environments.
Bachelor’s degree is required.
CompensationThe anticipated salary range is $80,000–$100,000 plus benefits. Variable compensation up to $105,000 may be achieved at 100% of annual objectives.
