The Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an SMB Account Executive to join our team s is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional looking to build their career in SaaS sales. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of closing experience, a passion for helping customers solve business challenges, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work with small and medium-sized businesses, helping them understand the value of Thought Spot's AI-powered analytics platform. We're looking for someone who is curious, coachable, driven, and excited to develop their sales skills while contributing to a high-performing team.

AI Mindset for SMB
  • Leverage AI-powered sales tools to identify, prioritize, and engage prospective customers efficiently.
  • Use AI-driven insights to personalize outreach and tailor value propositions to customer needs.
  • Experiment with emerging AI and automation tools to improve productivity, pipeline generation, and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales development, and customer success teams to optimize the customer journey.
  • Continuously learn and adapt as new technologies and best practices emerge.
What You'll Do
  • Own a territory of SMB accounts with a focus on acquiring new Thought Spot customers.
  • Prospect and generate pipeline through outbound outreach, inbound lead follow-up, and partner collaboration.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer goals, challenges, and business needs.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and communicate Thought Spot's value proposition.
  • Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to close.
  • Build relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data within CRM systems.
  • Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
What You Bring
  • 1+ year of quota-carrying closing experience in a SaaS, technology, or business-to-business sales environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities and close business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, coachable, and eager to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates and cross‑functional partners.
  • A growth mindset and desire to build a long‑term career in sales.
  • Experience using sales tools, CRM platforms, and AI‑powered productivity solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to leverage data and insights to prioritize accounts and drive pipeline growth.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in SaaS, analytics, business intelligence, or data-related technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and pipeline generation.
Mandatory And Required Skills For All Thought Spot Roles
  • Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands‑on experience leveraging AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.
AI Mindset for All Spotters
  • Curiosity in exploring new AI tools.
  • Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new, emerging AI technologies.
  • Critical thinking to know when to use AI versus when human judgement is necessary.
