Role Description
The Luxury Showroom Sales Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL. This position is responsible for welcoming clients into the showroom, understanding their design vision and project requirements, and recommending premium products that align with their aesthetic, functional needs, and budget. The consultant will conduct detailed product presentations, prepare quotes and proposals, and manage the sales cycle from initial consultation through order placement and follow-up.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining an immaculate showroom appearance, updating displays and materials, coordinating with internal teams and vendors on product availability and lead times, and ensuring timely communication with clients. The role also involves building long‑term relationships with interior designers, architects, and builders, proactively following up on leads and open quotes, and contributing to sales targets while upholding a luxury‑level service standard.
- Strong customer engagement capabilities, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with a focus on delivering a luxury showroom experience.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, design professionals, and internal teams in a clear and professional manner.
- Applied Product Knowledge in luxury fixtures, finishes, or related design products, with the ability to explain features, benefits, and options in a consultative way.
- Experience working in Showrooms or similar retail or design environments, ideally with premium or high‑end brands.
- Proven track record in sales or client‑facing roles, with the ability to meet or exceed targets while maintaining high service standards.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects, quotes, and follow‑ups simultaneously.
- Comfort working with design professionals and reading basic project information such as plans, specifications, or schedules (or willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in basic office and CRM software; experience with showroom or POS systems is a plus.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and a polished presence appropriate for a luxury showroom environment.
- Background in interior design, architecture, luxury retail, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Compensation $50,000.00 - $ (including commissions) a year
